Since the inception of rock crawling, JohnnyGRockRacing has been a competitive force to contend. Having demonstrated their excellence as representatives of this new and growing motorsport, JohnnyGRockRacing has developed their rock crawling team from casual competitors on the rocks of Moab, Utah and Durango, Colorado to winning championships using vision and excellent communication within their team and amongst their sponsors.
At the beginning of the 2004 season, JohnnyGRockRacing added another team to their professional motorsports organization. After a successful year in 2003, Mount Logan Off Road Racing Team was courted and joined the growing JohnnyGRockRacing team. In conjunction with Mount Logan Off-Road, John Gilleland engineered a custom chassis for the start of the 2004 rock crawling season. The new chassis was crowned with the name of K-2. The JohnnyGRockRacing team has been featured on television (ESPN), magazine, and on many internet media forums regularly throughout the 02-04 seasons. They were featured at the Dirt Sports, Dust To Glory premier in Anaheim, CA, The SEMA show in Las Vegas ('02, '03, and '04), BFGoodrich Ride and Drive in Las Vegas, Channel 2 morning news for a Supercrawl preview at Rocky Mountain Raceway, and BFGoodrich uses the team and their cars for marketing events throughout the US.
